Less reconstruction between the person who sees a browser problem and the engineer who fixes it.
A screenshot and summary rarely preserve the path, state, and affected element together. Our mission starts with making that handoff more inspectable.
What Samelogic does today
Today, Samelogic helps teams deliberately capture a browser path and preserve useful evidence around the affected UI: screenshots, selectors, DOM details, viewport context, and available console or network details. A receiving engineer can inspect the saved artifact instead of trying to reconstruct the report from a fresh page.
The free CSS Selector & XPath Finder provides immediate selector utility without an account. Bug Replay and workspace sharing support the team handoff when a selector alone is not enough. Generated test code is a scaffold for engineering review, not a finished regression test or a guarantee that unavailable backend state can be recreated.
Our longer-term mission
We want browser work to produce versioned, inspectable, access-controlled test artifacts that people and tools can evaluate against the same recorded evidence. That can make debugging, test authoring, and future agent-assisted engineering more accountable.
The destination is broader than the product shipped today. We will earn it by proving useful receiver outcomes, reliable capture boundaries, and repeat team use before making platform claims.
What we believe
- The receiver outcome matters. A capture is valuable when the next engineer can take a useful action with less reconstruction.
- Claims should match the evidence. Recorded browser context can narrow ambiguity; it does not automatically diagnose every failure or eliminate every follow-up.
- Useful tools should meet people where they work. Selectors, issue trackers, Playwright, and coding agents are destinations and collaborators, not categories we need to replace.
- Trust is part of the artifact. Deliberate capture, review, access control, revocation, and honest data boundaries matter as much as technical depth.
